Apples: Elstar and Jonagold
At Rensen Fruit and Contracting Company, we grow our apples with passion and craftsmanship on our own orchards in the heart of the Betuwe. The fertile river clay in this region provides an ideal soil for the development of flavorful and firm apples. Our apple cultivation is fully managed in-house—from planting and pruning to harvesting and storage—allowing us to guarantee quality at every step.
We mainly grow the varieties Elstar and Jonagold. Elstar is a popular hand apple with a fresh, slightly tart taste, juicy flesh, and a pleasant crunch. Jonagold is known for its nice balance between sweet and sour, a slightly softer bite, and a full, aromatic flavor. Both varieties are loved by consumers and suitable for direct consumption or processing in pies or salads.
Our apples are stored after harvest in our own cooling rooms, preserving freshness and quality until delivery. This ensures you receive a tasty and reliable product straight from the grower.
